Hotel San Michele is situated in the Palazzo Baldelli, an historic 14th century structure with origins back to the 11th century. Accomodations consist of 41 rooms (singles, standard or deluxe doubles, triples, quads, jr. suites and suites), each with its own unique character. All rooms have exposed wooden beams and overlook the rooftops of Cortona, the Valdichiana, or the hotel's courtyard. All rooms and common areas are tastefuly furnished; modern conveniences include ensuite bathroom with hair dryer, air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, and minibar. An elevator is available for guests' convenience. Guests may park in the hotel garage for an additional € 11 daily fee (advance reservations requested) or in nearby public parking lots.

Ancestral Hall

The Ancestral Hall, with a pietra serena fireplace, is on the second floor of the hotel. Of particular note are the coats-of-arms of the noble families who lived and ruled in Cortona.

Residence Borgo San Pietro Tranquil and characteristic accomodations in the countryside near Cortona

	The Residence Borgo San Pietro was created through careful restructuring of a 17th-century farmhouse, its outbuildings, and grounds. The restoration was completed in 2002. It is surrounded by 7 hectares of private gardens. There are 13 apartments; each has a private outdoor area complete with table & chairs. Apartments are of two types: 2 units which host up to 3 guests; each comprises a living room with kitchenette, a double bedroom, and a bath. There are also 11 units which accomodate up to 5 guests and include a living room with kitchenette, 2 double bedrooms, and a bath. See rates   Living room in an apartment		Exterior view with swimming pool     The restoration retained the characteristic elements of the area - stone facade, exposed wooden beams, tile floors, and fireplaces of native pietra serena. The kitchenettes are fully equipped and satellite TV is in each apartment. The site, with alleys from the apartments to the pool, and an antique well in the courtyard, recreates the charm and feel of a typical Tuscan village. Facilities available for guests' use include not only the swimming pool but also a gym, a laundry room, and onsite private covered parking. Apartments are cleaned and linen changed weekly. 	To reach Borgo San Pietro: Borgo San Pietro, only 4 km outside of Cortona, is easy to reach. It is on a hillside in San Pietro a Cegliolo. The closest train station is Camucia-Cortona. Borgo San Pietro is centrally located not only for visiting the nearby towns of Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino but also the two major wine-producing areas in Tuscany - Chianti and Montepulciano/Montalcino. Arezzo, Pienza, Siena, San Gimignano, Perugia, Assisi, Chiusi/Chianciano Terme, and many other hilltowns in Tuscany and Umbria are short trips away.
